VOK®-AP 539 is a paraffin-based wax emulsion that improves surface properties in waterborne coatings and inks.

Storage and transportation 

The product is temperature sensitive and must be stored and transported at 5 °C - 35 °C. Stir well before use. 

Recommended Use In multi-coating systems, interlayer adhesion needs to be verified.

The additive has a hydrophobic effect in waterborne coatings and improves anti-blocking properties. It increases surface slip, scratch and friction resistance, and provides a soft touch.

Recommended dosage 

1-3% additive (purchased form) based on the total coating formulation. In certain cases, it can be increased to 4%. 

The above recommended addition amount is for reference, and the suitable addition amount needs to be determined by a series of tests. 

In multi-coating coating systems, recoatability and interlayer adhesion need to be verified, especially at high additive levels. 

Incorporation method and processing guidance 

Additives are best added at the end of production with low stirring. The product should be stirred well before use.
